In Service To Nature

In a project coordinated by the HHEF and Motorola,  students from Diane Borders' 5th grade science class at Simmons Elementary School, Horsham, are joined by volunteers from Motorola, Inc., Horsham, for an afternoon of work at the Jarrett Nature Center, the Hatboro-Horsham School District's "outdoor classroom" on Babylon Road in Horsham. Employees at Motorola, one of the foundation's financial partners, were among 11,000 employees from 47 countries participating in the company's "Global Day of Service," Oct. 10. The nearly 50 students and employees formed crews to prepare learning stations, clear animal track areas and work on trail maintenance.
