The Board of Directors of the Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation (HHEF) is pleased to announce it has appointed Nancy DeLucia as its Executive Director. DeLucia, who recently completed a six-year term with the HHEF Board of Directors, stepped into her new role on November 19, 2013.
“We couldn’t think of a better-suited candidate than Nancy for this position,” shared Jen Hammel, President of the Board of HHEF. “Nancy brings a renewed sense of energy to the Foundation. She is a community leader and is enthusiastic about fundraising for the organization.”
Before taking the HHEF position, DeLucia worked for 11 years at the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, most recently as the Director of Policy and Community Engagement. In this role, DeLucia represented the Cultural Alliance throughout the region supporting arts organizations, working with towns and neighborhoods that are using arts and culture to revitalize their communities and advocating at the local, state and federal levels to advance issues of concern to the cultural sector.
“The time was right for me to transition into this new role,” said DeLucia, a resident of Horsham Township. “Our goal is to enrich the lives of our students and the HHEF will allow me to do that, while also funding valuable community programming.”
DeLucia has served on the boards of the Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation and Hedgerow Theater. She earned a BS degree from University of Delaware and went on to earn a MA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
